Simulations 4 and little update

In my opinion, Baudrillard is a Nihilist. He believes everything is hyperreal and simulation. The hyperreal system conceals that there is nothing beneath. People working in a factory to fight for a moment of leisure, which is something very ironic. People work and produce products because that’s what society tells them and what everyone is doing. The hyperreal society tells people what to desire and what they should be doing. But in the end, the goal is nihility. This sentence is really interesting to me, “And in the end the game of power comes down to nothing more than the critical obsession with power…..When it has totally disappeared, logically we will be under the total spell of power-a haunting memory already foreshadowed everywhere.” This illustration brought my vision to a broader aspect and thinking: Is the media leading me to desire what I’m desiring? Has my goal changed since little to fit in the society’s null expectation?…

Some updates: just after I’d this idea, I received a push of article from an architecture account I follow. It’s a call for participation in their new workshop about hyperrealism and how that relates to architecture! and they even quoted Baudrillard’s idea on hyperrealism Lol. It’s so similar to my project. Since they are a group of experienced people, I decided to tailor my project based on their description of the project. So, I’ll be finding a ready-made model from internet and working on it from color, lighting, texture, angle to tone and style. In the end, I’m hoping to hand in 2 or 4 completed visualization of the plan for a building.
