Baudrillard connects the third order simulation with genetic codes. Genetic codes for human species are stored in DNA, and it’s something passed down from generation to generation. Although these cells are infinitesimally small, they carry a large amount of information with them. For a time that values productivity, cells in the human body can easily reproduce themselves fascinates people. These mystical things draw scientists into researching the “conventions” behind, in order to better understand ourselves and the law of productivity.
This is the start of the formation of the third order. Since science is a very logical and rigorous subject, it “[a]ccounts for things previously encircled and formalized so as to be sure to obey it.” (115) Science could be used by the capital to formulate images that generate the real because of this obedience and undeniability of science. After this phrase, capital takes the whole control of society. They are empowered with the total ability to manipulate every little part of the simulation, and people can no longer trace back to the origin, the truth since the beginning is erased in order to build a “perfect” world.
